Coupons: No Clipping Required

One of the universal truths is that everyone likes the feeling of buying something they want or need and getting a "deal".  I remember grocery shopping BC, before celiac, and the victorious rush I'd feel as my coupons were subtracted  - sometimes at double or even triple their face value -  from the total.  If an item was on sale and I had a coupon I was really happy.  Going GF changed not only my eating habits but also how I shopped - food coupons no longer had anything to offer.  Of course I still use coupons for non-food items. I love to cook and I make most items from scratch.  I'm well aware that not everyone can or wants to spend that kind of time in the kitchen, and I also know there are GF items that even the most dedicated homemaker doesn't want to make all the time - like GF pretzels!

If you've missed coupons or free samples but need gluten free or other "special diet" products, Kathleen Reale may be something of a superhero.  According to the Boston Herald, she started a free website to offer coupons and free samples to those with food allergies.  Kathleen, diagnosed with celiac disease, highlighted her new site at the National Products Expo in Boston last week.  I highly suggest checking out BeFreeForMe.com
